Vault 101’s Piercing Bar Of The Week – The Labret.
Hey Vault lovers, its blog time! Side not, what does blog even mean? I sure as hell don’t know and they only reason I am going off on a tangent like this before we have even begun is because I want to make sure this blog is proof read before it goes live and I want this part to get cut out in the edit, so you can cut it from here Chris. Today we are continuing our “Of The Week” series where we give a some information about a certain type of barbell, the options in store we have for that barbell and a cheeky little discount code in the process.
The labret bar is taken from the Latin word Labrum meaning lip where it initially used among the American Northwest Coast Indians up to 4000 years ago (worlds worst history lesson). In 2017 however the labret bar is not exclusively locked into place on your lower lip it can be used in other places around the body. These of course include upper and lower lip as well as the tragus, cartilage, cheek and even the lobe as long as the correct gauge is selected. Please make sure when purchasing a labret for you lower lip you know the exact size that is require. With the flat end of the bar being situated between the inside of your lip and the gum line a bar that is too long with tend to rub against the gum line which can cause gum damage and recession, which after a quick google search I can assure you nobody wants. At Vault 101 our standard range of labrets range from 6 to 12mm in 1.2 and 1.6mm thick and all are made from grade 316 surgical steel. They are available in six great colours, silver, gold, rose gold, black, blue and rainbow. All of which can be purchased with a ball or cone attachment. We also have shamballa gem labrets as well as crystal gem labrets. We have recently added cheek labrets in our ever growing selection which range from 14 to 25mm. We have standard range of bioflex PTFE labrets, as well as two ranges of push fit PTFE, these include ball & cone labrets as well as transparent gem set which are particularly nice.
